- JON STEWART: I think you and I are agreeing on principle, but maybe not degrees of which: do you think this past decade, this past 20 years, has been a good 20 years for the wealthy?
- BILL O'REILLY: Yeah, I would say it's been a good 20 years for the wealthy, with the technological and things like that. Look -- I don't have any sympathy for the pinheads who were stealing money, and doing all the derivatives selling, and doing all the day trading. I don't like these people, all right? And I think there should be government watchdogs and set up rules where they can do this and you can't do that.
- STEWART (interjecting): So you're a Democrat.
- O'REILLY: On that, I am!
I tend to re-post some American pro-left, pro-Obama stuff here even though I’m a Canadian living in Toronto. Our country still gets labelled “socialist” south of the border, even though we’ve had a Conservative government for six years. I suppose what I’m doing is my way of saying there are people here who also support fairness and equality in government, a strong social safety net, fair taxation across the “classes” and just fair treatment of our fellow humans in general. We have our battles to fight here on those fronts, too. Don’t despair, and keep fighting the good fight.

Heh. Audacious claims as to what Obama is at fault for is this blog’s bread and butter. Bring it on! I was out of half-and-half this morning. THANKS OBAMA!
